Common NameQuercetin 7-glucosylrhamnoside
DescriptionQuercetin 7-(rhamnosylglucoside) belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-7-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C7-position. Quercetin 7-(rhamnosylglucoside) is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Outside of the human body, Quercetin 7-(rhamnosylglucoside) has been detected, but not quantified in, fats and oils. This could make quercetin 7-(rhamnosylglucoside) a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods.
