| Description | 6-(2-Benzoyl-3,5-dihydroxyphenoxy)-5-{[3,4-dihydroxy-4-(hydroxymethyl)oxolan-2-yl]oxy}-2-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4-diol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as phenolic glycosides. Among the sugar units found in natural glycosides are D-glucose, L-Fructose, and L rhamnose. 6-(2-benzoyl-3,5-dihydroxyphenoxy)-5-{[3,4-dihydroxy-4-(hydroxymethyl)oxolan-2-yl]oxy}-2-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4-diol is found in Polygala karensium. 6-(2-Benzoyl-3,5-dihydroxyphenoxy)-5-{[3,4-dihydroxy-4-(hydroxymethyl)oxolan-2-yl]oxy}-2-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4-diol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
