These are glycoside in which a sugar group is bonded through one carbon to another group via a O-glycosidic bond. 3-hydroxy-2,5-dimethyl-6-(2-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}ethyl)-2,3-dihydroinden-1-one is found in Pteris semipinnata. 3-Hydroxy-2,5-dimethyl-6-(2-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}ethyl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
