Description4-[3-(Hydroxymethyl)-5-(3-hydroxypropyl)-7-methoxy-1-benzofuran-2-yl]-2-methoxyphenol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 2-arylbenzofuran flavonoids. These are phenylpropanoids containing the 2-phenylbenzofuran moiety. 4-[3-(hydroxymethyl)-5-(3-hydroxypropyl)-7-methoxy-1-benzofuran-2-yl]-2-methoxyphenol is found in Abies sachalinensis. 4-[3-(Hydroxymethyl)-5-(3-hydroxypropyl)-7-methoxy-1-benzofuran-2-yl]-2-methoxyphenol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
