Description5'-Hydroxy aurapten belongs to the class of organic compounds known as terpene lactones. These are prenol lipids containing a lactone ring. 7-{[(2z)-5-hydroxy-3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dien-1-yl]oxy}chromen-2-one is found in Zanthoxylum rhoifolium. 7-{[(2z)-5-hydroxy-3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dien-1-yl]oxy}chromen-2-one was first documented in 2010 (PMID: 20657398). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 5'-hydroxy aurapten (PMID: 31277646).
