Description(6-{[3-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]oxy}-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl)methyl 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydroxycinnamic acid glycosides. (6-{[3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]oxy}-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl)methyl 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate is found in Balanophora japonica and Myriophyllum verticillatum. These are glycosylated hydoxycinnamic acids derivatives (6-{[3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]oxy}-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl)methyl 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
