Heteroaromatic compounds are compounds containing an aromatic ring where a carbon atom is linked to an hetero atom. 2-cyanothiophene is found in Capparis spinosa. 2-cyanothiophene was first documented in 2007 (PMID: 17784956). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2-Thiophenecarbonitrile.
