These are fungal metabolites structurally characterized by the presence of an isoindolone nucleus fused to a macrocyclic ring, which can either a lactone, as in cytochalasin B, a carbonate, as in cytochalasin E, or a carbocycle, as in cytochalasin D, H, and K. 17-benzyl-5,19-dihydroxy-5,7,14,15-tetramethyl-6-oxo-13-oxa-18-azatetracyclo[9.8.0.0¹,¹⁶.0¹²,¹⁴]nonadeca-3,9,18-trien-2-yl acetate is found in Halorosellinia oceanica, Xylaria hypoxylon and Xylaria obovata. AC1L1ES8 is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
