These are flavanones that features a C5-isoprenoid substituent at the 8-position. 2-[2,4-dihydroxy-5-(2-methylbut-3-en-2-yl)phenyl]-5,7-dihydroxy-8-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-2,3-dihydro-1-benzopyran-4-one is found in Dalea scandens and Dalea versicolor. 2-[2,4-Dihydroxy-5-(2-methylbut-3-en-2-yl)phenyl]-5,7-dihydroxy-8-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-4-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
