| Description | (3R)-5,6-dihydroxy-2,2,3,8-tetramethyl-11,11-bis(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-2H,3H,4H,11H-anthra[2,3-b]furan-4-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as naphthofurans. Naphthofurans are compounds containing a furan ring fused to a naphthalene moiety. Furan is a 5 membered- ring aromatic ring with four carbon and one oxygen atoms. Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. (3r)-5,6-dihydroxy-2,2,3,8-tetramethyl-11,11-bis(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-3h-anthra[2,3-b]furan-4-one is found in Harungana madagascariensis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (3R)-5,6-dihydroxy-2,2,3,8-tetramethyl-11,11-bis(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-2H,3H,4H,11H-anthra[2,3-b]furan-4-one. |
