Description(2E)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-[(2R,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]prop-2-en-1-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydroxycinnamic acids and derivatives. Hydroxycinnamic acids and derivatives are compounds containing an cinnamic acid (or a derivative thereof) where the benzene ring is hydroxylated. (2e)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-[(2r,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]prop-2-en-1-one is found in Aruncus dioicus. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2E)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-[(2R,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]prop-2-en-1-one.
