Cardenolide glycosides and derivatives are compounds containing a carbohydrate glycosidically bound to the cardenolide moiety. 4-[(1r,3as,5ar,7s,9as,11ar)-3a-hydroxy-9a,11a-dimethyl-7-{[(2s,5s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}-tetradecahydrocyclopenta[a]phenanthren-1-yl]-5h-furan-2-one is found in Lepidium apetalum and Thevetia peruviana. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 4-[(2S,5S,7R,11S,14R,15R)-11-hydroxy-2,15-dimethyl-5-{[(2S,5S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}tetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadecan-14-yl]-2,5-dihydrofuran-2-one. |
