| Description | 2,4-Dihydroxy-6-methylbenzoic acid 2-(3-methyl-2-butenyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl ester belongs to the class of organic compounds known as depsides and depsidones. These are polycyclic compounds that is either a polyphenolic compound composed of two or more monocyclic aromatic units linked by an ester bond (depside), or a compound containing the depsidone structure (depsidone). 4-hydroxy-2-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)phenyl 2,4-dihydroxy-6-methylbenzoate is found in Stereum hirsutum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2,4-Dihydroxy-6-methylbenzoic acid 2-(3-methyl-2-butenyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl ester. |
