Description(1S,2R,3S,4R,4aR,8aS)-2,3-dihydroxy-3,4,8,8a-tetramethyl-4-[(2S)-6-oxo-2H,3H,4H,6H-furo[2,3-c]furan-2-yl]-1,2,3,4,4a,5,6,8a-octahydronaphthalen-1-yl pyridine-3-carboxylate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diterpene lactones. These are diterpenoids containing a lactone moiety. (1s,2r,3s,4r,4ar,8as)-2,3-dihydroxy-3,4,8,8a-tetramethyl-4-[(2s)-6-oxo-2h,3h,4h-furo[2,3-c]furan-2-yl]-2,4a,5,6-tetrahydro-1h-naphthalen-1-yl pyridine-3-carboxylate is found in Scutellaria barbata. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1S,2R,3S,4R,4aR,8aS)-2,3-dihydroxy-3,4,8,8a-tetramethyl-4-[(2S)-6-oxo-2H,3H,4H,6H-furo[2,3-c]furan-2-yl]-1,2,3,4,4a,5,6,8a-octahydronaphthalen-1-yl pyridine-3-carboxylate.
