Description[(2S,3S,4R,5S,6R)-6-{[5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-oxo-4H-chromen-3-yl]oxy}-3,5-dihydroxy-4-{[(2E)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]methyl 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid 3-o-p-coumaroyl glycosides. These are flavonoid 3-O-glycosides where the carbohydrate moiety is esterified with a p-coumaric acid. P-coumaric acid is an organic derivative of cinnamic acid, that carries a hydroxyl group at the 4-position of the benzene ring. [(2s,3s,4r,5s,6r)-6-{[5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-oxochromen-3-yl]oxy}-3,5-dihydroxy-4-{[(2e)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]methyl (2e)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is found in Abies spectabilis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on [(2S,3S,4R,5S,6R)-6-{[5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-oxo-4H-chromen-3-yl]oxy}-3,5-dihydroxy-4-{[(2E)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]methyl 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate.
