DescriptionChalciporone belongs to the class of organic compounds known as azepines. These are organic compounds containing an unsaturated seven-member heterocycle with one nitrogen atom replacing a carbon atom. (6e,8e)-9-(7-methyl-7h-azepin-2-yl)nona-6,8-dien-3-one is found in Chalciporus piperatus. (6e,8e)-9-(7-methyl-7h-azepin-2-yl)nona-6,8-dien-3-one was first documented in 2001 (PMID: 11457295). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Chalciporone.
