Description3-{[2-(But-2-en-2-yl)-1a,4-dimethyl-decahydronaphtho[1,2-b]oxiren-3-yl](hydroxy)methylidene}-1-methyl-5-(propan-2-yl)pyrrolidine-2,4-dione belongs to the class of organic compounds known as sesquiterpenoids. These are terpenes with three consecutive isoprene units. 3-{[2-(but-2-en-2-yl)-1a,4-dimethyl-octahydro-2h-naphtho[1,2-b]oxiren-3-yl](hydroxy)methylidene}-5-isopropyl-1-methylpyrrolidine-2,4-dione is found in Trichobotrys effusa. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 3-{[2-(but-2-en-2-yl)-1a,4-dimethyl-decahydronaphtho[1,2-b]oxiren-3-yl](hydroxy)methylidene}-1-methyl-5-(propan-2-yl)pyrrolidine-2,4-dione.
