Natural Product Identification
Common Name{[5-(6-aminopurin-9-yl)-3,4-dihydroxyoxolan-2-yl]methoxy(hydroxy)phosphoryl}oxy([3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy)phosphinic acid
DescriptionAdenosine 5'-diphosphate glucose belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 1-hydroxy-4-unsubstituted benzenoids. These are phenols that are unsubstituted at the 4-position. Adenosine 5'-diphosphate glucose is a strong basic compound (based on its pKa). Outside of the human body, Adenosine 5'-diphosphate glucose has been detected, but not quantified in, cereals and cereal products. {[5-(6-aminopurin-9-yl)-3,4-dihydroxyoxolan-2-yl]methoxy(hydroxy)phosphoryl}oxy([3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy)phosphinic acid is found in Arabidopsis thaliana. This could make adenosine 5'-diphosphate glucose a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods.
