DescriptionPUQIENINE B belongs to the class of organic compounds known as piperidines. Piperidines are compounds containing a piperidine ring, which is a saturated aliphatic six-member ring with one nitrogen atom and five carbon atoms. (3s,4as,6ar,6bs,9r,11as,11br)-3-hydroxy-9-[(1r)-1-[(2r,3r,5r)-3-hydroxy-1,5-dimethylpiperidin-2-yl]ethyl]-10,11b-dimethyl-1h,2h,3h,4h,4ah,6h,6ah,6bh,7h,8h,9h,11h,11ah-cyclohexa[a]fluoren-5-one is found in Fritillaria puqiensis. (3s,4as,6ar,6bs,9r,11as,11br)-3-hydroxy-9-[(1r)-1-[(2r,3r,5r)-3-hydroxy-1,5-dimethylpiperidin-2-yl]ethyl]-10,11b-dimethyl-1h,2h,3h,4h,4ah,6h,6ah,6bh,7h,8h,9h,11h,11ah-cyclohexa[a]fluoren-5-one was first documented in 2005 (PMID: 15730259). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on PUQIENINE B (PMID: 19686814).
