Description(1R)-1-{[(2S,3R,11bS)-3-ethyl-10-hydroxy-9-methoxy-1H,2H,3H,4H,6H,7H,11bH-pyrido[2,1-a]isoquinolin-2-yl]methyl}-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline-6,7-diol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as emetine alkaloids. These are alkaloids with a structure characterized by the presence of both an isoquinoline and a benzoquinolizidine nuclei. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R)-1-{[(2S,3R,11bS)-3-ethyl-10-hydroxy-9-methoxy-1H,2H,3H,4H,6H,7H,11bH-pyrido[2,1-a]isoquinolin-2-yl]methyl}-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline-6,7-diol.
