Description1-[2-(2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-1,2,4a,5,6,7,8,8a-octahydronaphthalene-1-carbonyl]piperidine belongs to the class of organic compounds known as benzodioxoles. These are organic compounds containing a benzene ring fused to either isomers of dioxole. Dioxole is a five-membered unsaturated ring of two oxygen atoms and three carbon atoms. 1-[2-(2h-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-1,2,4a,5,6,7,8,8a-octahydronaphthalene-1-carbonyl]piperidine is found in Piper guineense. 1-[2-(2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-1,2,4a,5,6,7,8,8a-octahydronaphthalene-1-carbonyl]piperidine is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
