This term, once abandoned, has been reinstated as a subclass of acetals. 4-hydroxy-3-{2-[4-hydroxy-3-(2-{4-hydroxy-1,5,5-trimethyl-3,6-dioxaspiro[bicyclo[2.2.2]octane-2,2'-oxan]-5'-yl}ethyl)-2,2-dimethyl-6-methylidenecyclohexyl]ethylidene}oxolan-2-one is found in Tricholoma saponaceum. 4-Hydroxy-3-{2-[4-hydroxy-3-(2-{4-hydroxy-1,5,5-trimethyl-3,6-dioxaspiro[bicyclo[2.2.2]Octane-2,2'-oxane]-5'-yl}ethyl)-2,2-dimethyl-6-methylidenecyclohexyl]ethylidene}oxolan-2-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
