Description5,7,3',4'-Tetrahydroxy-4-phenylcoumarin 5-O-apiosyl-(1->6)-glucoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as coumarin glycosides. These are aromatic compounds containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically bound to a coumarin moiety. Thus, 5,7,3',4'-tetrahydroxy-4-phenylcoumarin 5-O-apiosyl-(1->6)-glucoside is considered to be a flavonoid. 5-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-6-({[(2r,3r,4r)-3,4-dihydroxy-4-(hydroxymethyl)oxolan-2-yl]oxy}methyl)-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl]oxy}-4-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-7-hydroxychromen-2-one is found in Coutarea hexandra. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 5,7,3',4'-Tetrahydroxy-4-phenylcoumarin 5-O-apiosyl-(1->6)-glucoside.
