Description | 5,5'-Dihydroxy-8,2',4'-trimethoxyflavone belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 8-o-methylated flavonoids. These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C8 atom of the flavonoid backbone. 5-hydroxy-2-(5-hydroxy-2,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-8-methoxychromen-4-one is found in Artemisia giraldii. 5,5'-Dihydroxy-8,2',4'-trimethoxyflavone is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
