Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. 3,6-dihydroxy-1,7,7,8-tetramethyl-8h-acenaphthyleno[5,4-b]furan-4,5-dione is found in Gremmeniella abietina, Neosetophoma cerealis and Penicillium herquei. 7,12-Dihydroxy-4,5,5,14-tetramethyl-3-oxatetracyclo[6.6.1.0²,⁶.0¹¹,¹⁵]Pentadeca-1(15),2(6),7,11,13-pentaene-9,10-dione is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
