These are steroids containing a cycloartanol moiety. 7,7,12,16-tetramethyl-15-(6-methyl-5-methylideneheptan-2-yl)pentacyclo[9.7.0.0¹,³.0³,⁸.0¹²,¹⁶]octadec-8-en-6-ol is found in Aesculus hippocastanum, Amaranthus hybridus, Azolla nilotica, Baccharoides anthelmintica, Dilodendron bipinnatum, Euphorbia characias, Euphorbia cyparissias, Euphorbia esula, Euphorbia kansui, Euphorbia lactea, Euphorbia lathyris, Euphorbia mellifera, Euphorbia pseudocactus, Euphorbia segetalis, Ficus fistulosa, Garcinia kola, Hippophae rhamnoides, Ixeris chinensis, Momordica charantia, Neolitsea aciculata, Olea capensis, Physalis peruviana, Polypodium formosanum, Rhabdodendron amazonicum, Rhabdodendron macrophyllum, Sesamum indicum, Zantedeschia aethiopica and Zea mays. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 7,7,12,16-tetramethyl-15-(6-methyl-5-methylideneheptan-2-yl)pentacyclo[9.7.0.0¹,³.0³,⁸.0¹²,¹⁶]Octadec-8-en-6-ol. |
