| Description | 15-Methylene-16-oxo-17-norkaurane-18-oic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as ketones. These are organic compounds in which a carbonyl group is bonded to two carbon atoms R2C=O (neither R may be a hydrogen atom). Ketones that have one or more alpha-hydrogen atoms undergo keto-enol tautomerization, the tautomer being an enol. (1r,4s,5r,9s,10s,13r)-5,9-dimethyl-15-methylidene-14-oxotetracyclo[11.2.1.0¹,¹⁰.0⁴,⁹]hexadecane-5-carboxylic acid is found in Mikania hirsutissima. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 15-Methylene-16-oxo-17-norkaurane-18-oic acid. |
