Description2-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)-7-hydroxy-5-methoxy-8-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-3-yl acetate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-8-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C8-position. 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-7-hydroxy-5-methoxy-8-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,4-dihydro-2h-1-benzopyran-3-yl acetate is found in Campanula barbata. 2-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)-7-hydroxy-5-methoxy-8-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-3-yl acetate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
