Stilbene glycosides are compounds structurally characterized by the presence of a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically linked to the stilbene skeleton. 4,5-dihydroxy-2-{3-hydroxy-5-[2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethenyl]phenoxy}-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-3-yl 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is found in Upuna borneensis. 4,5-Dihydroxy-2-{3-hydroxy-5-[2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethenyl]phenoxy}-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-3-yl 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
