| Description | (5R)-5-hydroxy-5-[(2R,3S)-4-hydroxy-7-methoxy-2,3,8-trimethyl-6,9-dioxo-2H,3H,6H,9H-naphtho[1,2-b]furan-3-yl]-2-methylpent-2-enoic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as naphthofurans. Naphthofurans are compounds containing a furan ring fused to a naphthalene moiety. Furan is a 5 membered- ring aromatic ring with four carbon and one oxygen atoms. Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (5R)-5-hydroxy-5-[(2R,3S)-4-hydroxy-7-methoxy-2,3,8-trimethyl-6,9-dioxo-2H,3H,6H,9H-naphtho[1,2-b]furan-3-yl]-2-methylpent-2-enoic acid. |
