Methoxyphenols are compounds containing a methoxy group attached to the benzene ring of a phenol moiety. 4-(2-aminoethyl)-2,6-dimethoxyphenol is found in Austrocylindropuntia cylindrica, Cylindropuntia imbricata, Echinopsis pachanoi, Senegalia berlandieri and Vachellia rigidula. 4-(2-Aminoethyl)-2,6-dimethoxyphenol is a very strong basic compound (based on its pKa).
