Description3Alpha-hydroxy-6beta-tigloyloxytropane belongs to the class of organic compounds known as tropane alkaloids. These are organic compounds containing the nitrogenous bicyclic alkaloid parent N-Methyl-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]Octane. (1s,3s,5r,6s)-3-hydroxy-8-methyl-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octan-6-yl (2e)-2-methylbut-2-enoate is found in Schizanthus hookeri and Schizanthus pinnatus. (1s,3s,5r,6s)-3-hydroxy-8-methyl-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octan-6-yl (2e)-2-methylbut-2-enoate was first documented in 2010 (PMID: 20189614). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 3alpha-hydroxy-6beta-tigloyloxytropane.
