DescriptionDicitrinone F belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diphenylmethanes. Diphenylmethanes are compounds containing a diphenylmethane moiety, which consists of a methane wherein two hydrogen atoms are replaced by two phenyl groups. 2-({2,6-dihydroxy-4-[(2s,3r)-3-hydroxybutan-2-yl]-3-methylphenyl}methyl)-5-[(2s,3r)-3-hydroxybutan-2-yl]-4-methylbenzene-1,3-diol is found in Penicillium citrinum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Dicitrinone F.
