These are terpene compounds formed by four isoprene units. 2-{[3,5-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3,4-dihydro-2h-1-benzopyran-7-yl]oxy}-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol is found in Pinalia floribunda, Stellera chamaejasme and Wisteria floribunda. 2-{[3,5-Dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-7-yl]oxy}-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
