DescriptionTsugaric acid A, also known as tsugarate a, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. (2r)-2-[(1r,3ar,5ar,7s,9as,11ar)-7-(acetyloxy)-3a,6,6,9a,11a-pentamethyl-1h,2h,3h,4h,5h,5ah,7h,8h,9h,10h,11h-cyclopenta[a]phenanthren-1-yl]-6-methylhept-5-enoic acid is found in Ganoderma tsugae, Inonotus obliquus and Laetiporus sulphureus. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Tsugaric acid A.
