These are steroids with a structure based on a hydroxylated prostane moiety. 9a,11a-dimethyl-1-(5-methylhex-3-en-2-yl)-7-oxo-1h,2h,3h,3ah,3bh,4h,5h,9bh,10h,11h-cyclopenta[a]phenanthren-11-yl acetate is found in Gersemia rubiformis. 2,15-Dimethyl-14-(5-methylhex-3-en-2-yl)-5-oxotetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadeca-3,6-dien-16-yl acetate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
