DescriptionDeoxyspectinabilin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as aromatic monoterpenoids. These are monoterpenoids containing at least one aromatic ring. 2-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-6-[(3e,5e,7e,9e)-3,5,7,9-tetramethyl-10-(4-nitrophenyl)deca-3,5,7,9-tetraen-1-yl]pyran-4-one is found in Streptomyces spectabilis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on deoxyspectinabilin.
