These are glycoside in which a sugar group is bonded through one carbon to another group via a C-glycosidic bond. 2,5-dihydroxy-6-[1-hydroxy-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-ylidene]-2-[(2s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]-4-[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]cyclohex-4-ene-1,3-dione is found in Carthamus tinctorius. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2,5-dihydroxy-6-[1-hydroxy-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-ylidene]-2-[(2S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]-4-[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]cyclohex-4-ene-1,3-dione. |
