Description8Alpha-13(16),14-Labdadien-8-ol, also known as isoabienol, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diterpenoids. These are terpene compounds formed by four isoprene units. 2,5,5,8a-tetramethyl-1-(3-methylidenepent-4-en-1-yl)-hexahydro-1h-naphthalen-2-ol is found in Blepharostoma trichophyllum, Cunninghamia lanceolata, Helichrysum nudifolium, Pinus nigra, Pinus sylvestris, Sagittaria trifolia and Smallanthus fruticosus. 8Alpha-13(16),14-Labdadien-8-ol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
