| Description | Salannolactam 21 belongs to the class of organic compounds known as naphthofurans. Naphthofurans are compounds containing a furan ring fused to a naphthalene moiety. Furan is a 5 membered- ring aromatic ring with four carbon and one oxygen atoms. Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. (1r,2s,4r,6r,9r,10r,11r,12s,14r,15r,18r)-14-(acetyloxy)-6-(2-hydroxy-5h-pyrrol-3-yl)-10-(2-methoxy-2-oxoethyl)-7,9,11,15-tetramethyl-3,17-dioxapentacyclo[9.6.1.0²,⁹.0⁴,⁸.0¹⁵,¹⁸]octadec-7-en-12-yl (2e)-2-methylbut-2-enoate is found in Azadirachta indica. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Salannolactam 21. |
