Description3-[3,7-Dihydroxy-8-methyl-2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-6-yl]prop-2-enoic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 4'-o-methylated flavonoids. These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C4' atom of the flavonoid backbone. 3-[3,7-dihydroxy-8-methyl-2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-3,4-dihydro-2h-1-benzopyran-6-yl]prop-2-enoic acid is found in Mallotus apelta. 3-[3,7-Dihydroxy-8-methyl-2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-6-yl]prop-2-enoic acid is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
