Thus, halocynthiaxanthin is considered to be an isoprenoid. halocynthiaxanthin is found in Aplidium pliciferum, Corbicula japonica, Crassostrea gigas, Halocynthia roretzi, Meretrix petechialis, Mytilus edulis, Mytilus unguiculatus and Styela plicata. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Halocynthiaxanthin.
