| Description | 3-Ethenyl-4-({2-methyl-2H-pyrido[3,4-b]indol-1-yl}methyl)-2-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran-5-carboxylic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as terpene glycosides. These are prenol lipids containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically bound to a terpene backbone. 5-ethenyl-4-({2-methylpyrido[3,4-b]indol-1-yl}methyl)-6-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5,6-dihydro-4h-pyran-3-carboxylic acid is found in Strychnos mellodora. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 3-ethenyl-4-({2-methyl-2H-pyrido[3,4-b]indol-1-yl}methyl)-2-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran-5-carboxylic acid. |
