DescriptionGlycosmisic acid 4'-sulfate, also known as g(8-5)fa sulfate or g(8-5)fa sulfuric acid, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 2-arylbenzofuran flavonoids. These are phenylpropanoids containing the 2-phenylbenzofuran moiety. Glycosmisic acid 4'-sulfate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). glycosmisic acid 4'-sulfate is found in Arabidopsis thaliana. A guaiacyl lignin that is glycosmisic acid in which the phenolic hydrogen is replaced by a sulfo group.
