Description4-[[(2E)-3,7-Dimethyl-5-oxo-2,6-octadienyl]oxy]-3-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester belongs to the class of organic compounds known as m-hydroxybenzoic acid esters. These are benzoic acid esters where the benzene ring is meta-substituted with a hydroxy group. methyl 4-{[(2e)-3,7-dimethyl-5-oxoocta-2,6-dien-1-yl]oxy}-3-hydroxybenzoate is found in Trichocolea tomentella. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 4-[[(2E)-3,7-Dimethyl-5-oxo-2,6-octadienyl]oxy]-3-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester.
