Description5,7,3',4'-Tetrahydroxy-6,8-dimethoxyflavone 7-glucoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-7-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C7-position. Thus, 5,7,3',4'-tetrahydroxy-6,8-dimethoxyflavone 7-glucoside is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-5-hydroxy-6,8-dimethoxy-7-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}chromen-4-one is found in Sideritis leucantha. 5,7,3',4'-Tetrahydroxy-6,8-dimethoxyflavone 7-glucoside is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
