| Description | Eustomoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as o-glycosyl compounds. These are glycoside in which a sugar group is bonded through one carbon to another group via a O-glycosidic bond. (4ar,5r,6s)-4a-hydroxy-5-[(2s)-oxiran-2-yl]-6-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3h,4h,5h,6h-pyrano[3,4-c]pyran-1-one is found in Chironia palustris, Gentiana gelida, Gentiana olivieri, Gentiana septemfida, Gentianella bulgarica and Gentianella campestris. (4ar,5r,6s)-4a-hydroxy-5-[(2s)-oxiran-2-yl]-6-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3h,4h,5h,6h-pyrano[3,4-c]pyran-1-one was first documented in 2012 (PMID: 23285813). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Eustomoside (PMID: 25457503). |
