Description(2S,6S,8S,9R,12Z,14E,16R,25R,27S)-3,6,8,9-tetrahydroxy-12-(methoxymethyl)-16,25,27-trimethyl-2-propyl-1-oxa-4-azacyclooctacosa-3,12,14-trien-28-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as macrolide lactams. These are cyclic polyketides containing both a cyclic amide and a cyclic ester group. (2s,6s,8s,9r,12z,14e,16r,25r,27s)-3,6,8,9-tetrahydroxy-12-(methoxymethyl)-16,25,27-trimethyl-2-propyl-1-oxa-4-azacyclooctacosa-3,12,14-trien-28-one is found in Myxococcus virescens. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2S,6S,8S,9R,12Z,14E,16R,25R,27S)-3,6,8,9-tetrahydroxy-12-(methoxymethyl)-16,25,27-trimethyl-2-propyl-1-oxa-4-azacyclooctacosa-3,12,14-trien-28-one.
