By extension, one or more bond scissions, ring expansions and/or ring contractions of the skeleton may have occurred. 1-acetyl-3a,5a,5b,8,8,11a-hexamethyl-hexadecahydrocyclopenta[a]chrysen-9-yl 3-oxohexadecanoate is found in Solidago canadensis. 8-Acetyl-1,2,5,14,18,18-hexamethylpentacyclo[11.8.0.0²,¹⁰.0⁵,⁹.0¹⁴,¹⁹]Henicosan-17-yl 3-oxohexadecanoate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
