Description | Cassialoin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as anthracenes. These are organic compounds containing a system of three linearly fused benzene rings. 1,8,10-trihydroxy-3-methyl-10-[(2r,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]anthracen-9-one is found in Rheum australe. 1,8,10-trihydroxy-3-methyl-10-[(2r,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]anthracen-9-one was first documented in 2004 (PMID: 15056949). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Cassialoin (PMID: 20619416) (PMID: 18823377) (PMID: 18163372). |
